Jeong leads the Translational Medicine Group, where he is responsible for developing early translational strategies, including predictive and pharmacodynamic biomarker plans, indication prioritization, and disease-relevant models. He also oversees the execution of IND-enabling pharmacology studies that support the progress of Calico’s translational programs.
Prior to joining Calico, Jeong served as Senior Director and Head of the Translational Research Department at Bristol Myers Squibb’s Tumor Microenvironment Thematic Research Center. He led scientific strategy, biomarker, and translational research efforts for solid tumors, driving innovative approaches to patient segmentation and biomarker discovery. Jeong’s career spans prominent roles at Bristol Myers Squibb, NGM Biopharmaceuticals, and Genentech, where he led diverse teams in advancing small molecule and antibody therapeutics in multiple disease areas. He has authored numerous publications and has contributed to several patents related to cancer immunotherapy and biomarker development.
