Charles leads a team of developers building software systems and scalable data processing pipelines to help advance Calico’s fundamental mission. The team’s focus is on working with high-throughput data for genomics, mass spectrometry, biochemistry, and MRI imaging in close collaboration with Calico’s data scientists, automation engineers and bench scientists.
Charles has extensive experience creating business-critical software and data systems in industries ranging from biotech to film production. Charles’ engineering background is in distributed systems and performance optimization.
