Helen is passionate about better understanding the aging immune system and learning whether interventions that counteract immune decline may improve healthspan. To this end, she initiated an effort to target a protein that contributes to age-related inflammation and potentially ages itself. Helen is now the scientific lead of a cross-functional team working to bring this protein into Calico’s drug development pipeline.
