Caitlin works closely with the translational groups at Calico to use gene expression and other ‘omics data to better understand the role of particular pathways in disease progression and help drive drug development.
Before joining Calico, Caitlin worked at Zymergen on genetic engineering of industrial microbes to produce various products with applications in agriculture, healthcare and production of novel chemicals. Prior to Zymergen, she worked at Foundation Medicine using a large real-world clinical tumor sequencing dataset to research genetic biomarkers of response to immunotherapy, differences in genetic changes in cancer between ancestry groups, and novel copy number changes in rare cancers.
