As part of the Translational Neuroscience group within the Development organization, Madhu leads target validation research efforts in neurological indications. Together with Calico researchers and external collaborators, she works on translating novel research ideas into potential drug targets. To do this, she employs a range of preclinical model systems to test the effectiveness of potential medicines. Data generated using these preclinical experiments helps inform decisions that move projects into early clinical development. Collaborating closely with project teams, she also develops plans to identify new biomarkers for late-stage projects and advance development for those programs.
