Nate ensures every batch of our medicinal products meets the highest standards of purity and stability, so that patients receive safe, consistent, and reliable clinical therapy. He brings a strong background in both small molecule synthesis and large molecule biologic manufacturing. Currently, Nate manages the production of our clinical-stage products, maintaining rigorous quality and regulatory compliance with a forward-looking eye toward seamless commercial manufacturing and scalability. Additionally, Nate oversees the end-to-end supply chain function.
Nate joined Calico with nearly 25 years of experience in small molecule drug substance and drug product development and GMP manufacturing. He previously held leadership roles at Unity Biotechnology, Global Blood Therapeutics, and Exelixis, contributing to the successful advancement of three marketed therapies: Cometriq, Cotellic, and Voxelotor.
