Daphne Koller Named to FiercePharma’s “Fierce Women in Biopharma 2016” List
Daphne Koller, Ph.D., Calico’s Chief Computing Officer, recently was named as one of 15 women to FiercePharma’s annual Fierce Women in Biopharma list for 2016.
The list recognizes women in the biopharmaceutical field who are “standing out in the field and providing crucial leadership” within their company and the industry as a whole.
Dr. Koller, along with the other leaders on the list, was also recognized for “providing mentorship to female and male colleagues alike, assuring that biopharma continues to become – and stays – an industry that values gender diversity.”
In the accompanying article, Dr. Koller discussed the opportunity that Calico presented, commenting, “The nice thing about Calico is the balance between the ability to do cutting-edge science that breaks new ground on the one side, but also to see it through to actual impact on the lives of patients, which I think is a unique opportunity.”
